Match Summary

Both teams took a lot of time to warm up and both teams tried to build the game with the defense in the initial moments. However, taking advantage of a loose ball after just five minutes, Milan Singh play shot from outside the ATK box but he could not keep his shot on target.

The first big chance of the match came in the 5th minute to Hitsesh Sharma of ATK when the right flank came to Ball Hitesh after Rupert Nongrum’s good footwork, but he failed to beat Paul Rachubka in One on One Situation.

ATK's Winger Jekenia then tried to score a curling shot but the ball hit the post and the fans of the blasters at the stadium breathed in relief. The team got better opportunities in the match but the Kerala Blasters also found it dangerous in the attack.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov looked all night long for the good cross in the box and had a lot of frustration night for him. At the same time, Iain Hume, who was filled with energy, had to undergo sub-station in the 60th minute due to heat and humidity after his excellent work-rate.

ATK settled itself with a small build by slow-making, while Blasters played mostly in counter attack. Berbatov gradually grows in the game and picks CK Vineet and Rino Anto's ransom with some nice passes. The Blasters set also appears dangerous in pies, and the Sandesh Jhingan cannot connect the ball despite being in good position several times.

In the second half home side played better, and Barba with Pekuson linking with Vineet for set up a shot. Vineet took the shot while inside, but the ATK goalkeeper Debjit Majumder did well to defend.
