Team India Created History by Defeating Sri Lanka in the Only T-20 Match
In the only T-20 match after the Test and ODI series, Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. This is the first time in the history of Indian cricket when India has cleansed against any team in Tests, ODIs and T-20s.

The Indian team chasing the target of 171 runs was not good at the start and opener Rohit Sharma was dismissed with just 9 runs. Captain Kohli who came in to bat started moving ahead with KL Rahul but Rahul could not cooperate with Kohli for a long time and scored 24 runs and became the victim of Seekkuge Prasanna. After that Kohli made a fast run with Manish Pandey and partnership 100 runs in 62 balls. Virat Kohli scored 82 runs in 54 balls with 7 fours and a six. Manish Pandey remained not out on 51 runs. Sri Lanka bat first in the only T-20 match against India the Sri Lankan team gave India a target of 171 runs. Sri Lanka's team started well after losing the toss but the Sri Lankan team Captain Upul Tharanga became the victim of Bhuvneshwar Kumar by scoring just 5 runs. Dilshan Munaweera playing his first T20 International match for Sri Lanka scored 53 runs in 29 balls. Munaweera scored 5 fours and 4 sixes in his quick-hitting innings. In the final overs Ashan Priyanjan scored 40 runs while Isuru Udana scored 19 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 wickets for Team India. Kuldeep Yadav got two successes while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket each.
Team India is first Team to Win 9-0 Series on Foreign Tour
India has become the first visiting team in the world to clean swipe the host team in a three-format format series in a tour. India beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in the Test series, 5-0 in ODIs and 1-0 in T-20. So far no one else could make the team. As a host in 2009-10, Pakistan did not allow Australia to win a single match in the three format series and won 9-0 as India did.

No we were 15-20 runs short. Munaweera batted really fine. In the 10-14th overs we lost momentum. Ashan and Isuru done very well in last over. The way Virat batted was exceptional. He has a good example for everyone. That's the difference between the two teams. Good sign for us that we fielded well.

Very special has not been done before the clean-sweep. Credit to all the hard work the boys have put in. proof of the fact how hungry the players are in Indian cricket and how the bench strength is coming along so wonderfully.
