AFC Asian Cup Qualifier: India Defeat Macau 2-0 in the Second Half

Indian football team has stepped up the big step towards qualifying for the AFC Asian Cup 2019 by defeating Macau 2-0 in the Olympic Stadium Macau. In the one-sided match, Balwant Singh, who came as the first goal subdivision for India, Balwant did a great header in the 57th minute.

India Beat Macau by 2-0

Balwant took advantage of the confusion of Macau's defense and in the 81 minute India's lead was 2-0. This is the third win in India's qualifiers, after which they are occupied with Group A along with 9 points. India have to play the second match of the same team on October 10. India started the match in a positive way while Macau's team looked completely dull.

Udantha Singh and Narayan Das have done a lot of crossing while showing a superb game on the wing, but the hosts were successful in clearing those passages. India's midfielders kept the game in full control and made several chains around the box.

JJ made a move while taking a cut from the left, but Chhetri's shot was blocked by the opposition defender. In the 36th minute Nazir and Raulin tried to score the best, but the ball was cleared which Lyngdoh struck, but Gede went out of the crossbar and went out. There has also a lot of chance for India when JJ's header went above the goalpost, then reached the Nazi cross-section of the Perfect Cross but it was blocked before it has done. India had many opportunities but poor finishing prevented them from taking the lead.

Indian coach Stephen Constantine sent Balwant Singh to the ground instead of Lyngdoh, with the start of the second half. As Balwant came the weakness of the Indian team was overcome, and when he came, he pressured Macau's defense. Balwant's header went away from the post on Pritam Kotl's cross.

Balwant’s Header

In the 57th minute Narayan Perfect Ball did not stop the opponent goalkeeper from Balwant's head and India took the lead in the match. Balwant scored his first goal for India in the Hero Triangulation Series, scored his second and third goal for India in this match. Sunil Chhetri tried to score goals on many occasions but probably his day has not today.

Balwant has very close to making his second goal after 2-3 minutes but his shot went wide of the net. For the hosts, their defender made a very bad mistake in the 81st minute and Balwant took advantage of India's lead 2-0. Balwant, has called again for the national team, was the third goal in this third match. India's defenders did not have to work much harder because Macau was more defensive during the entire match, but still the Indian backline did a great job.
