The ICC Announced Some New Rules In Cricket

ICC New Rules

ICC is now implementing from Pakistan and Sri Lanka and South Africa versus Test Series of Bangladesh By the way, all these rules were going to come into effect from 1st October, but now the ICC has planned to implement all these rules from September 28, since the match against Pakistan vs Sri Lanka starting on September 28. The same South Africa vs Bangladesh Test match is going to start. Therefore, both of these series will now be played according to the new ICC.

Confirmation of ICC Manager Himself

All the rules of the ICC are now confirmed by the 28th September itself, ICC manager Geoff Allardice, during one of his interviews, he said about new rules in one of his interviews.

"Now the time has come, that we will introduce all the new rules that we have created in international cricket, so now we have decided to start all our rules from September 28 with Bangladesh vs South Africa and Sri Lanka vs Pakistan match. We hope that all new rules made by us will work for the betterment of cricket. "

The New Rules of ICC Are As Follows

No Review After 80 Overs

According to the new regulation of the ICC Like before, if an LBW appeal is made to a batsman, and the result is "Umpire Call", then the umpires will stand on their previous decade, but now after the appeal the result is "Umpire Call" Then the team will maintain its allotted review. That means the allotted reviews of the team will not be reduced if the umpire call is made. The DRS will be allowed to be used in T20 matches, but no top-up review will be done after every 80 overs in Test innings.

The Edge of The Bat Is 40 mm

In modern cricket, there will now be a new rule which limits the dimensions of batting to bring the right balance between batting and the bat. The length and width of the bat will remain unaffected, but the new rule will limit the thickness of the edges to 40 mm and the depth to 67 mm. The umpires can check the bat using the bat.

Umpire Will Be Able To Send The Player Out Of The Field

Like football, players can now be seated out for the rest of the match for the level 4, such as "attacking umpires, threats or umpires and improper and deliberately physical assault with the other person, Violence.”The umpire may be able to sit out with Level 4. or If the batsman is in the air behind the crease while taking the run, the batsman will not be given out. Now, according to a new rule, the umpire also has the right to send any player out as a football.

The airborne fielder who catches the boundary of the field will have to make contact with the ball within the boundary, otherwise that catcher will be considered boundary.

According to the revised rule, if a player moves forward towards the crease and accidentally gets his bat out of the crease then the batsman will not run out in such a situation. This case also applies to avoid being stumped.

These Are The Main Rules In Short

ICC New Rules

  1. According to the new rules, if referrals for LBW ' Umpires call back ', the teams will not lose their review.
  2. The current rule of 'Top-up' review after 80 overs in Test matches will be over Whereas the DRS will now be applicable in T20 too
  3. The ICC has also given the umpires the right to send the offending player out of the field, including violence, and all other offenses will come under ICC Code of Conduct as before.
  4. If the bat stays in the air after crossing the crease, the batsman will not be given a run out. At first the bat was given to the batsman when the ball was in the air.
  5. The batsman can still be caught, stump and run out, even if the ball came from the helmet worn by the fielder or the wicketkeeper.
  6. Now the fielder who catches the catch in the air on the boundary will have to catch the ball inside the boundary, otherwise it will be considered a boundary.
  7. Removing the 'handled the ball' rule, the batsman who is dismissed out in that manner will be given out under the 'obstructing the field' rule.
