World XI Squad Announcement for Pakistan Tour
Du Plessis will captain the World XI against Pakistan match will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
World XI Cricket Squad 2017 has been announced for three T20 matches against Pakistan. World XI Team command has been handed to South Africa's Faf du Plessis. Let us know that Du Plessis is also the captain of South Africa's Test and T20 team.
In World XI Squad five South Africans, three from Australia, two from West Indies, one player from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, England and New Zealand were selected. Zimbabwe's former wicketkeeper-batsman Andy Flower is the coach of the team. The World XI Team also includes Opener Hashim Amla, middle-order batsman David Miller, leg spinner Imran Tahir and fast bowler Morne Morkel have also been selected from South Africa. All-rounder Thesara Pereira from Sri Lanka, Tamim Iqbal from Bangladesh, Paul Collingwood from England, Leg-spinner Samuel Badree and former captain Darren Sammy from West Indies and George Bailey, Ben Cutting and Tim Pan from Australia have been selected. No player has been included from Team India.

Caption Du Plessis said in a statement, "I am honored to be the captain of World XI Team vs Pak diverse, attractive and balanced team." He said, "Like the rest of the players, I am excited about my first tour of Lahore and I want to contribute in the return to international cricket in a safe environment in Pakistan."

Andy Flower said: “I have enjoyed all my previous tours to Pakistan and look forward to returning to Lahore next month. “All the players are happy and comfortable with the security arrangements that will be put in place for the series and happy to be part of the first step towards the safe return of international cricket to Pakistan.

Sarfaraz Ahmed said “I am really excited to see the World XI Team coming to Pakistan and keenly look forward to playing in front of our committed crowds and supporters. I can guarantee all Pakistan cricket fans that we have missed playing in front of them like they have missed watching us live in action. But this wait is about to end and I am sure better times lie ahead of all of us.
World XI T-20 Match Schedule
The first T20 matches of the series between World XI vs Pakistan will be played on September 10 in Lahore. All the three matches of the series will be played in Lahore. The coach of the World XI Team is Andy Flower has also selected the team. This series is very important for Pakistan because after 2009. Pakistan has not had any main international series. Zimbabwe had definitely visited Pakistan in 2015. But the 2nd ODI tour was a big explosion at a distance from Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in which two people were killed.
Let us say that there will be high security planning for the series of three T20 matches between the World XI and the Pakistan team. The team will arrive in Pakistan on September 11. Paul Collingwood Worried About Security
Former England captain and all-rounder Paul Collingwood said if there is a strong security arrangement I can play T20 series in Pakistan. Collingwood has admitted that he has been approached to play a T20 cricket series in Pakistan next month. Significantly the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning a three-match T20 series with the World XI in its own country.
Former England captain Paul Collingwood's name recently came to the news when he became the oldest player to score a century in T20 cricket. 41-year-old Collingwood retired from international cricket, made his maiden century in T20 cricket. In the NatWest T20 blast Collingwood played an unbeaten 108 against Warshestshire playing on behalf of Durham. He faced 60 balls and added 10 fours and four sixes. With his innings, Collingwood became the oldest batsman to score a century in T20 cricket.
Welcome World XI Tour to Pakistan : ICC
After the announcement of the World XI Squad 2017. The ICC has welcomed the series of the World XI Team which will go to Lahore to play the 3 T20 series in September. The team includes South African greats like Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, former international captains like England's Paul Collingwood, George Bailey of Australia and Darren Sammy of the West Indies. ICC director Giles Clarke has working as the chairman of the Pakistan Task Force. He has positive that the series would prove to be the first step towards returning international cricket in Pakistan as the T20 International match against Pakistan and the West Indies at the end of this year.
In January Clark said, who visited Lahore, 'I am hosting is delighted that Pakistan this high-profile series which will take many of the top international players in the ICC members. He said, "This attack is not only important for cricket in Pakistan but is also important for international cricket because it will create opportunities for sponsors to visit Pakistan for the other teams, media and bilateral series.
