US Open 2017 Men’s Preview
The absence of many famous players in the US Open tennis tournament.US Open starts on Monday (today) August 28 has become rugged for the title and in the men's group where Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are the strong contenders of the title. Nadal and Federer's opposition are world famous. But these two legends never faced a face in the US Open. This time though both of them can clash with each other in the semi-finals.
Five-time US Open champion Federer will present his claim to the 20th Grand Slam and the third main title of this year. If Federer won the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year Federer is successful in winning the title. He will become the oldest player to win the US Open in the Open era. Apart from Murray, Djokovic and Wawrinka, KE Nishikori and Milos Raonich have also made it easier for Nadal and Federer's semi-final to get out due to injuries.
Nadal had to face the defeat of Canadian teenager Dennis Shapovalov in Nic Kurgisos and Montreal before the tournament before this tournament. Federer had dropped from Cincinnati because of a back injury while in the final in Montreal. He was defeated by Alexander Juevrev. Players such as Javrev, Kyrgyaus and Dominic Theme also have a great opportunity to win this title.
Andy Murray Dropped out of the Tournament
World number two and 2012 champion Andy Murray withdrew the name on Saturday. Murray failing to recover from a hip injury which ended the possibility of finals between Federer and Nadal. Both of these legends are still in one half and they can be fought in the last four. Nadal reached number one ranking for the first time in the last three years Nadal had won the title in 2010 and 2013, and this time his claims have become stronger in the absence of Murray, Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka.
Federer-Nadal can Fight for the First Time in 13 Years
Two world-legends tennis players Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer 13 year competition 37 times have happened before face-to-face. But there is a grand slam in which both of these have never ever collided with each other. But this is first time the battle between these two legends is fixed in the US Open 2017.
Federer
The five-time US Open champion, Switzerland's Federer will go on to win his third and overall 20th Grand Slam title of this season. He also won the Wimbledon trophy this year apart from the Australian Open. If the 36-year-old Federer wins this title, he will become the oldest US Open champion of the modern Open Era. The record of the oldest champion is Bill Tillen (1929). Federer will play in the first round with 19-year-old American player Frances Tiafoya.
Nadal
In the last Grand Slam of the year starting on Monday, these two have been placed in the same draw and they can clash in both semi-finals. Nadal of 15-time Grand Slam champion he has been once again the world's number one player this year after three years. Two-time US Open champion Nadal won the French Open Trophy for the record 10th time this year. Nadal will launch his campaign against Dusan Lajovic of Serbia.

Maria Sharapova to face No2 seed Simona Halep in US Open first round Today. Eight women tennis players have the opportunity to become number one.
In the women's group eight players are also seen in the title along with the number one chair. Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka are not participating in the last Grand Slam of the year. Serena Williams is going to be a mother and Victoria Azarenka also wants to spend time with her newborn baby who is under litany of custody with her husband. Because of this both the female players have decided to sit out of this tournament.

Svetlana Kuznetsova , Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams
Kuznetsova has won 17 titles as rotating pro in 2000 with possibly her biggest win coming at the 2004 US Open. Currently she ranked No. 8 she also reached the final in 2007. Maria Sharapova will play in a Grand Slam tournament for the first time after a 15-month doping ban. Sharapova will be unseeded for just the second time in New York and is currently ranked 147th in the WTA rankings. Venus reached two main finals, at the Australian Open and Wimbledon with the semifinals in Miami and the quarterfinals in Indian Wells.
