T20 Global League 2017 Schedule | Squad | Fixture | Match Timings | Venues
South Africa's home tournament T20 Global League Schedule has been announced. On November 3 its first match will be played between the superstar Shahrukh Khan Team KepTown Knight Riders and Newlands Pretoria Mavericks. Apart from AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Morne Morkel, Chris Gayle, JP Duminy and Dale Steyn will be seen playing.
A total of 57 matches will be played in the 44 days. Global League is long tournament and 2-2 matches will be played in the last two days of every week. The top 2 teams will play the final on December 16 after the league period ends in the matches scheduled for December 13. T20 Global League Director Russell Adams said can you imagine the excitement of opening night when great players of history will play in the T20 format. There will be a clash between AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle.
Each team in the 18-member squad has Marquee player and an international player played. The first Marquee player is Kieron Pollard to be selected as the International Marquee Player on behalf of Bloom City in Draft on Saturday. The Auction Process of the Global T20 League which started in South Africa on the way of the IPL. Following the auction, players of all the 8 teams have been decided. It is compulsory to have 5 foreign players in all the teams. Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan also bought the Cape Town Knight Riders team in this league.
