World Badminton Championship: In the Semi-Final of Sindhu and Saina, Srikanth is out
Rio Olympics-2013 silver medalist PV Sindhu of India. Sindhu entered the semi-finals of the World Badminton Championship on Friday. In the quarter-finals, Sindhu entered the final four by defeating Sun Yun of China. The world's fourth seed Sindhu beat Chinese player 21-14, 21-9 in a 39-minute match.
After winning the first game easily Sindhu did not have to work hard in the second game too. Confident of winning a game Sindhu in a second game, completely put pressure on her opponent who could not stand in front of him and lost the match and got out of the tournament.
Sindhu won a bronze medal twice in the world championship defeated the Chinese player in 39 minutes. In the world ranking fourth-ranked Indian player has taken a career record 4-4 against the sixth seeded Chinese player. Sindhu will face Ninth seed China's Chen Efei in the semi-finals. Chen Efei beat Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand 8th seed Thailand in an hour and two minutes in another quarterfinal match.
Saina Nehwal Enters Semis of *World Badminton Championship*
Saina will face Japan's player Nozomi Okuhara in the semi-finals. If the record of the match between them has been held so far then Saina's stomach is huge.
Saina Nehwal Beat Christie
India's leading badminton player Saina Nehwal has continued her wonderful performance and has entered the semifinals of the World Badminton Championship. Saina outclassed Cristi Gilmore of Scotland in the women's singles quarter-finals on Friday night. This match was not easy for Saina. In an hour and 14 minutes Saina outplayed Gilmour 21-19, 18-21, 21-15.
Srikanth Has Been Out of the Championship
If you talk about men's class then Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth has been out of the world badminton championship. In the quarter-finals on Friday Srikanth had to face World No. 1 Son van Ho in South Korea. Korean player Son Wan defeated Srikanth 21-14, 21-18 in straight games. Let us tell you that in the tournament, eighth seed Srikanth had defeated Danish Andreas Antoneson in the pre-quarterfinals.
Srikanth could not perform as well as his fame. In the first game he has been battling in front of a South Korean player from the beginning and he is behind every opportunity from his opponent. In the second game though they offered some challenge but it did not win the match.
